A fence does more than mark a property line. It can make an outdoor space feel private, create a useful boundary for everyday life, and give the landscape a cleaner finish. JPPM approaches fence construction as part of the property: the grade, access, existing features and intended use all matter before materials are chosen. We discuss the layout and desired result, then put the proposed work in a written scope so you can see what is included.
CHOOSE THE RIGHT APPROACH / 01
Three useful ways to define the space.
01 / PRIVACY & CHARACTER
Wood fence construction
Wood fencing can provide a strong visual boundary and a warmer backdrop to planting, patios and outdoor living areas. The right layout depends on the privacy you want, how the fence meets the house or other structures, and the height and finish proposed for each run. We review the site before quoting, including changes in grade, existing fence removal if needed, access for materials, and the way the finished line will look from both sides. The accepted quote identifies the design, materials, work area and any removal or disposal.
Chain-link fencing can define a boundary while keeping sight lines open. It may suit a side yard, a larger enclosure or a location where a solid privacy screen is not the goal. The useful details are still property-specific: where the fence starts and ends, how people enter the enclosed area, the terrain and any existing landscaping that needs protection during construction. We can compare the practical purpose of chain link with a wood design before recommending a scope. Materials, layout and finishing details belong in the written proposal.
Vinyl fencing adds a third material choice alongside wood and chain link. We review panel style, height, colour, posts and gate requirements as one system, then assess grades and access before confirming the installation scope.
It can be planned as a new boundary or a replacement project. Tell us about the privacy you want, the existing fence and the openings needed for everyday use. Material availability and the selected system’s requirements are confirmed in the proposal.
Good planning starts with the actual property rather than a price per linear foot alone. Tell us what you want the fence to accomplish and which existing features it needs to work around. We can then discuss an appropriate design and what must be verified before construction.
01
Layout & access
The length, corners, gates or openings, slopes and access to the work area affect how the project is planned. A site review also helps identify obstacles or changes in grade that may not be obvious from a basic measurement.
02
Existing conditions
An old fence, mature planting, hardscaping and nearby structures can change the sequence of work. Removal, disposal, repairs to unrelated areas and restoration are defined separately when they are part of the job.
03
Clear responsibilities
Property boundaries, underground services, permissions and applicable local requirements should be resolved before work begins. We identify what information is needed and set out the agreed construction scope in the quote.
BUILD · IMPROVE · MAINTAIN
Make the fence part of a larger plan.
A new fence may be one step in a more complete outdoor improvement. It can be planned alongside a deck, patio, grading work, sod or new planting so the finished property works together. If those other services matter to your project, tell us at the beginning. We can discuss how they connect and quote the approved work rather than assuming every improvement belongs in a standard fence installation. After construction, JPPM can also help care for the lawn, garden beds and the rest of the property through the seasons.
For a useful starting conversation, share the address, approximate fence length, preferred material, desired privacy level and photos of the existing area. The written proposal confirms what JPPM can provide for that particular site.
Tell us about the existing fence when requesting a quote. Removal and disposal can be discussed and included in the written scope if appropriate; they are not assumed to be part of every installation.
Do you offer wood, vinyl and chain-link fences?
Yes. The material and design are selected for the property and confirmed in the accepted proposal.
Can a fence be planned with a deck or landscape project?
Yes. We can discuss those improvements together and define each part of the work in the proposal.
WOOD, VINYL OR CHAIN LINK?
Choose the boundary for the way you live.
Choose wood, vinyl or chain link around privacy, appearance and access. Gate width should suit people, mowers or larger equipment as needed.
Replacement is a chance to review boundaries, shared access and what can remain before deciding on the new layout.
Project pricing depends on property size, site conditions, access, materials and the agreed scope. Changes to materials or work may change the price. Your quote confirms inclusions, disposal and applicable GST before work begins.
Do you offer vinyl fence construction?
Yes. Vinyl is offered alongside wood and chain link, with the selected system and availability confirmed for the project.
Can a gate be quoted separately?
Yes. Share the opening, surrounding posts and intended use so we can assess the work needed to support the gate.
Financing options are available through iFinance. Ask about financing when discussing your project quote; approval and terms are confirmed by the provider.
Tell us about the property, the kind of fence you have in mind and any related outdoor improvements. We will review the site and provide a written scope.
