CARE WITH A CLEAR SCOPE

A well-kept property.
A clear operating plan.

Build a recurring grounds plan around the site’s turf, planted beds and public-facing areas. Lawn mowing, garden weeding, shrub care and spring or fall cleanup each receive defined areas, visit frequency and approval arrangements.

THE WORK

Commercial mowing, garden care and seasonal upkeep.

Identify turf, garden beds, shrubs, entrances and seasonal work to include. Each task is agreed for your property, with a site contact, access arrangements and service documentation.

Recurring lawn maintenance

Mow the agreed turf, trim around defined edges and obstacles, and clear mowing debris from affected adjacent hard surfaces. Frequency and access are set for the property; residential package inclusions do not automatically apply.

Garden and landscape upkeep

Add agreed garden-bed weeding, shrub care and routine bed work to the grounds plan. These tasks can have different visit frequencies from mowing, with larger bed restoration or new planting quoted as improvements.

Seasonal cleanups

Specify spring preparation, fall leaves and disposal arrangements for the managed areas. Commercial seasonal work is site-specific; confirm what is included in the recurring agreement and what requires a separate approval.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT APPROACH

Recurring grounds care or separately quoted improvements?

Recurring grounds service

A standing program suits properties that need organised mowing, bed care and service documentation through the season. Identify the site contact, service areas and access arrangements so the crew and manager work from the same plan.

Maintenance with improvements

Some properties also need bed restoration, new planting, fence work or other upgrades. Discuss those priorities alongside maintenance, then receive a separate project scope and price for the improvements. This keeps recurring care clear while supporting a broader property plan.

Define the property standard

A commercial grounds plan should fit the site’s actual use. A storefront, office, multi-tenant property and industrial yard have different entrances, sight lines and visitor expectations. We list mow areas, beds, hardscape edges, litter areas and the seasonal work required, then decide how often each should be visited. Some spaces need attention before opening hours; others are easier to service when vehicles are away. A site map makes the recurring scope far clearer than a broad promise to “maintain the grounds.”

Coordinate turf and landscape care

Mowing, trimming, beds, shrubs and irrigation work together. University of Minnesota Extension recommends maintaining an appropriate mowing height and avoiding removal of too much leaf tissue at once, principles that also apply to cool-season commercial lawns. A neglected bed can undo the impression of a freshly cut lawn, while irrigation overspray can stain paving or create a slippery route. We distinguish routine work from enhancements such as sod repair, new planting, mulch replacement or bed reconstruction.

Make change easy to manage

Commercial properties change through the season: construction, parked equipment, tenant requests and weather can alter access. The service plan should name a contact, describe how exceptions are documented and set a process for approving additional work. Fall cleanup and winter preparation deserve their own scope, especially where leaves gather at drains or entrances. A clear recurring agreement helps JPPM deliver consistent care and lets the manager understand what is included, what needs approval and what may be scheduled separately.

A USEFUL QUOTE STARTS HERE

Plan your commercial grounds-maintenance scope.

Commercial grounds pricing depends on the mapped areas, visit frequency, access, landscape condition and seasonal work selected. Condos, apartments, storefronts, offices and schools have different operating needs. The proposal identifies the service schedule and documentation, with a clear route for approving additional work.

COMMERCIAL LAWN PROGRAM

A dedicated mowing and grounds plan.

For storefronts, offices, condos, apartments, mixed-use and industrial sites, recurring mowing should identify turf areas, trimming, hardscape cleanup, garden maintenance and reporting needs. The commercial lawn page sets out how we quote that work and coordinate seasonal care. Rates and inclusions are site-specific.

FOR PROPERTY MANAGERS

One site plan.
Clear responsibility.

Choose one contact to approve extra work and another, if needed, to receive service records. Restricted areas and access windows belong in the site plan.

Regular grounds upkeep and restoration have separate scopes. Winter vehicle plowing and pedestrian snow service are assessed separately as well.
