A renovation begins with a reason: a room no longer works as it should, a finish has reached the end of its useful life, or the property needs an update to suit the next stage of its use. JPPM discusses the goal before proposing the work. We look at the existing conditions, what you want to change, how the space is occupied and the level of disruption the project may create. The result should be a defined proposal for your property, not an assumption that every renovation follows the same template.
THE PROJECT IN CONTEXT / 01
From an idea to an agreed scope.
01 / PURPOSE
Decide what should change.
Tell us how the space is used now and what is getting in the way. It may be a practical issue with flow, storage, durability or the condition of existing finishes. Photos and measurements can begin the conversation, but a site review may be needed to understand the work properly. We also discuss what needs to stay, which areas can be accessed and whether work must be staged around daily life or business activity.
02 / CONDITIONS
Understand what is already there.
Existing construction can affect the plan. Surfaces may conceal conditions that are not apparent at the first visit, and some proposed changes require further assessment or qualified trades. We identify the known work in the proposal and discuss how any discovered condition or requested change would be priced and approved before extra work proceeds. That protects the clarity of the original scope while allowing a practical response when a project reveals something new.
03 / DELIVERY
Agree on the work before it starts.
A useful renovation proposal identifies the areas being worked on, the intended finish, material selections or allowances where relevant, access arrangements and the work assigned to JPPM. It should also distinguish exclusions and any separate approvals. Schedule discussions account for material availability and the actual sequence of work. We want you to understand the proposed result and the decisions still to be made before a project begins.
ONE COMPANY / THE WHOLE PROPERTY
Improvement does not stop at the doorway.
JPPM's work can connect an interior project with the exterior of the property. A customer planning an indoor improvement may also be considering a deck, fence, patio or changes to the surrounding landscape. Those jobs have different scopes, but discussing them together can help establish priorities and the order of work. After a project is complete, recurring lawn, garden and winter services can keep the wider property cared for year-round.
We serve St. Albert, all west Edmonton and north Edmonton west of 97 Street, with project availability confirmed by address. Share the address, the room or area involved, the problem you want solved and any dates that matter to you. We can then determine whether the project fits our capabilities and prepare a specific next step. The written quote, not this overview, defines the services and responsibilities for your renovation.
INTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS / OUR FOCUS
Basement finishes. Luxury vinyl floors.
JPPM installs LVT and LVP flooring and welcomes complete basement-finishing enquiries. The wider basement finish is planned through subcontractors and appropriate specialist trades, with responsibilities and availability confirmed in the project proposal.
Framing, insulation, drywall, painting, doors and trim may be coordinated within a basement project. Electrical, plumbing and heating work are identified for the appropriate trades. Tell us whether you need a complete finish or a focused flooring improvement.
Photos help explain the idea, but the existing conditions and proposed scope may need a site review before we can provide a reliable written quote.
What if the scope changes during the project?
Any additional work should be discussed, priced and approved separately before it proceeds. The original proposal remains the reference for the agreed work.
Can you coordinate outdoor improvements too?
Yes. Tell us about related deck, fence, landscape or property maintenance needs so we can discuss the work as part of a broader property plan.
START WITH THE SPACE
A focused improvement or a wider finish?
Decide whether you need a focused improvement or a wider finish across adjoining rooms. Retained work and occupied areas affect the sequence.
JPPM directly installs LVT and LVP. Wider renovation work is assessed for fit, with specialist-trade responsibilities identified in the accepted scope.
Project pricing depends on property size, site conditions, access, materials and the agreed scope. Changes to materials or work may change the price. Your quote confirms inclusions, disposal and applicable GST before work begins.
Can I request flooring without a full renovation?
Yes. A standalone luxury vinyl flooring project can be reviewed with its own preparation and finishing scope.
Do you perform every renovation trade in-house?
No. The wider work is scoped with appropriate subcontractors or specialist trades, while JPPM’s direct flooring work is identified separately.
