A CONSIDERED PROPERTY IMPROVEMENT

The finish underfoot.
The preparation beneath it.

JPPM installs luxury vinyl plank and luxury vinyl tile for interior improvement projects, including basement finishes. Whether you are replacing an existing floor or completing a new space, we review the room, selected product and underlying surface before defining the installation. St. Albert is our primary service area. We also serve all west Edmonton and north Edmonton west of 97 Street, with project scope and availability confirmed by address.

PLAN THE WORK

LVT and LVP flooring preparation and installation

A property review connects the intended result, materials and work required.

Room & product planning

Consider the plank or tile format, layout, room connections and intended use.

Preparation & installation

Review the existing floor and preparation required by the selected flooring system.

Transitions & finishing

Identify doorway transitions, edge finishing, trim and removal or disposal in the proposal.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT APPROACH

Start with the space you have.

Luxury vinyl plank — LVP

A plank layout can bring a wood-style appearance to a living area, hallway or basement. Consider board width, colour variation and how the layout moves between rooms. A sample viewed in the actual light of your home is more useful than selecting only from a screen.

Luxury vinyl tile — LVT

A tile format may suit a different design direction, including stone-style finishes. Review the pattern and how the tiles meet doorways and adjoining floors. The appearance is one decision; the exact product’s installation system and suitability for the room are equally important.

Begin with the existing surface

A new floor needs an appropriate foundation. We review the existing finish, substrate, changes in level and the areas that need preparation. Removing old flooring, addressing local surface issues and installing the new product are distinct parts of the scope. The quote should show how they fit together rather than leaving preparation as an assumption.

For a basement, concrete conditions deserve particular attention. Product instructions determine acceptable substrate conditions, moisture requirements and any underlayment. A flooring product described as water-resistant or waterproof does not resolve water entering a basement; an existing moisture concern needs attention before installation is planned.

Choose the product and installation together

Luxury vinyl is a broad category. Click, glue-down and other systems have different requirements, and one approach should not be assumed suitable for every product or room. Share the product name and installation documents if you have already selected or purchased the material. We review the requirements before confirming the work.

Expansion spaces, adhesives where applicable, underlayment and environmental requirements follow the selected manufacturer’s instructions. Additional underlayment is not automatically an upgrade: it needs to be compatible with the flooring system. Choosing these details together helps the installation match the product rather than relying only on its appearance.

Finish the connections deliberately

Doorways, stairs, adjoining floors and fixed features shape the final result. We discuss the direction of the layout and the transitions between spaces before installation. Trim, baseboards and changes in floor height should also be identified in the proposal so the room feels finished when the flooring work is complete.

Tell us whether the rooms will be occupied and how furniture can be moved. Removal, disposal, door adjustments and trim work are included only when identified in the agreed scope. Planning those practical details early makes it easier to coordinate a flooring project with the rest of a basement finish.

A CLEAR PROPOSAL

What shapes your LVT and LVP flooring quote.

Flooring pricing depends on area, selected product, removal, substrate preparation and finishing details. Comparing the same scope gives a better picture than comparing installation rates alone. We identify material supply, preparation, installation, transitions and any agreed trim work so you can assess the proposed finished result.

Pricing is quoted for the property. Size, site conditions, access, materials and the agreed work affect the total. Scope or material changes may change the price; the quote confirms inclusions, disposal and applicable GST before work begins.

COMPARE THE FINISHED ROOM

The installation rate
is only the starting point.

Compare removal, surface preparation, transitions and trim alongside the installation rate. Customer-supplied material needs review of the product, quantity and instructions.

Plan the layout through adjoining rooms and doorways. Discuss basement moisture concerns before covering the floor.

Do you install both LVT and LVP?

Yes. JPPM directly installs luxury vinyl tile and luxury vinyl plank, subject to review of the selected product and site.

Does a flooring quote include new baseboards?

Only when identified in the agreed scope. Trim, transitions, removal and other finishing items are discussed so you know what the completed room includes.
