GROUNDWORK / ACCESS / A CLEAR SCOPE

Excavation & Skid Steer Services in St. Albert & Edmonton.

Make room for the landscape you have planned. We assess the ground, access and finished elevations before quoting skid steer or excavator work for lawn replacement, garden beds, patios and landscape improvements.

LANDSCAPING / JPPM

The right groundwork.
For what comes next.

Excavation is often the first visible stage of a landscape project, but the decisions begin before equipment arrives. We walk through what needs to come out, what must stay and how the area will be finished. That lets us plan removal, material handling and restoration together. Whether you need a defined equipment task or excavation as part of a larger JPPM installation, your proposal identifies the work rather than leaving the next stage to guesswork.

THE WORK / CLEAR INCLUSIONS

Excavation & Skid Steer Services.

01 / SKID STEER SERVICES

Skid steer services

Move soil and aggregate, load excavated material, spread landscape materials and shape accessible areas. We select the approach around the working room, surface conditions and the next installation stage.

02 / EXCAVATOR SERVICES

Excavator services

Targeted digging can help prepare landscape features and remove unwanted material. The required depth, reach, access and nearby structures determine whether excavation equipment suits the proposed work.

03 / REMOVAL & PREPARATION

Removal & preparation

Remove an existing lawn or unsuitable landscape material before new sod, beds or hardscape preparation. We agree on the removal limits and what happens to the excavated material before work begins.

A PROPERTY-SPECIFIC APPROACH

Plan the details before the work begins.

01

Access changes the whole job.

A narrow gate, tight turn, soft lawn or finished driveway can change the machinery and material-handling plan. Share the narrowest access width and photos from the street to the work area. We assess how equipment can enter, where trucks can load and what surfaces may need protection or restoration. An open yard and a confined side yard can require very different approaches even when the area is similar.

02

Dig to a purpose, then finish to a plan.

Excavation for a new lawn is different from preparing a patio base or creating a planting bed. We discuss the finished surface, material layers and connection to the surrounding grades before deciding what should be removed. If the project needs both excavation and installation, we can quote the stages together. If another contractor is completing the finish, the agreed handover condition should be clear.

03

Water, services and existing features.

We review visible drainage, nearby foundations, fences, trees and the features you want retained. Utility information and any private lines need to be addressed before ground disturbance. Changes to grades must be considered alongside where water will go, rather than simply making an area look level. Site-specific requirements and any work needing specialist involvement are established before the excavation scope is accepted.

PRICING / THE COMPLETE SCOPE

What shapes your quote.

Excavation pricing depends on the area and depth, soil and existing materials, equipment access, loading distance, disposal requirements and the finish you need. Imported soil or aggregate, hauling and restoration can materially change the total. We provide a property-specific quote; an equipment allowance does not automatically include unlimited trucking or disposal. Approved changes to the work may change the price, with applicable GST identified in the proposal.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Useful questions, answered.

Can I request skid steer work without a full landscaping project?

Yes. Tell us the task, the material involved, the access and the result you need. We assess whether the work is suitable and confirm the equipment scope, handling and any disposal in the quote.

Do excavation quotes include hauling?

Only when it is included in the written scope. Excavation, loading, off-site disposal and delivery of replacement materials are separate cost factors and should be agreed together.

Can you prepare the area for sod or a patio?

We can assess excavation alongside sod installation, soil grading or hardscape base preparation. The finish and preparation included depend on the project you approve.

How do we get started?

Send the property address, photos, approximate dimensions and access information. An on-site assessment helps confirm conditions and the proposal before equipment is scheduled.
