Request Recurring Bed Care
BUILD · IMPROVEGarden weeding, deadheading and seasonal bed care, with priorities and visit time agreed in advance. Serving all west Edmonton and north Edmonton west of 97 Street.
A garden bed can lose its shape even while the lawn stays neatly cut. Weeds, loose debris and growth around the edges can make established planting feel neglected. JPPM’s Edmonton garden-bed maintenance focuses on the plants and areas you want to retain, with a recurring rhythm or an initial reset according to the condition of the beds.
Start by identifying the beds that need attention and the work that matters most. Routine weeding, edge touch-ups and agreed shrub care can be prioritised within the visit scope. New planting, a redesign or extensive restoration is a separate conversation. That distinction lets you choose regular garden care without automatically committing to a larger landscape project.
You can book JPPM for regular garden weeding even if the rest of the yard is already looked after. Tell us which flower beds, borders or planted areas need attention, and whether you want weekly, biweekly or occasional visits. We can focus the agreed labour allowance on hand weeding rather than requiring a broader landscaping package.
Before work starts, identify the plants you want to retain, including bulbs and self-seeded favourites. The crew works around established planting and removes unwanted growth within the agreed areas. Heavy infestations or deeply rooted weeds may require an initial reset and follow-up visits; recurring weeding manages new growth without promising that weeds will never return.
If your main concern is tired-looking flowers, request deadheading as a visit priority. Deadheading means removing spent flowers from suitable plants. It helps keep a flower bed presentable, and the work is selected around the plants you have and the finish you want.
Tell us if you want seed heads retained or have particular plants the crew should leave alone. Not every plant needs the same treatment, and not every flower will bloom again after deadheading. We agree on the suitable work for the bed, rather than treating all flowers alike. Weeding and collection of the debris created by the agreed work can be combined within the same authorised visit.
Request seasonal cutbacks when selected perennials or other established plants need attention at the appropriate point in their growth cycle. Share the plant names if you know them and the areas you want tidied. Timing and the amount removed depend on the plants; routine bed care is not a blanket instruction to cut every plant to the ground.
Light bed cleanup can address loose leaves, fallen material and debris around retained planting where quoted. Let us know which standing stems or seed heads you want preserved. A large seasonal property cleanup or an overgrown garden reset may need its own scope and allowance. Disposal is priced separately, so collection and removal arrangements are confirmed before the visit.
Existing bed edges can receive touch-ups where agreed to keep the lawn and planting areas visually distinct. Tell us which boundaries matter most, especially along entrances and walkways. Edge work can be prioritised alongside weeding and deadheading within the available labour allowance.
The visit can also identify visible plant concerns for you to review. Shrub trimming, replacement planting, mulch refresh and changes to the bed layout are separately scoped when needed. Choose just the upkeep you want now, with any improvements discussed before additional work is authorised.
Garden-bed care is based on labour-hours, with a minimum of two per visit. Labour-hours measure the total work performed by the crew: two people working for one hour equals two labour-hours. Tell us which beds and tasks come first. An agreed cap can limit the authorised time, allowing the crew to work through those priorities within the approved allowance.
A labour cap is a way to manage visit scope, rather than a promise that every bed will be completely weed-free within that time. Heavy weed pressure, established roots, access and the amount of debris affect the work that can be completed. Disposal and replacement planting are quoted separately. We can discuss additional work instead of silently extending a maintenance visit.
Before the first visit, point out valued plants, bulbs, self-seeded favourites and areas that should remain undisturbed. What looks like unwanted growth to one person may be a plant another wants to keep. Clear property instructions help the crew distinguish removal from preservation and maintain the intended garden shape.
Routine tasks may include hand weeding, seasonal debris removal and edge touch-ups where agreed. Shrub care, deadheading or seasonal cutback should be identified in the scope rather than assumed. If a bed needs rebuilding, fresh material or a different planting layout, we can discuss that as an improvement project alongside the ongoing maintenance plan.
Weekly, biweekly and custom visits are available to discuss. Frequency should reflect the beds, weed pressure and the presentation you want. Some customers need a reset followed by regular attention; others want a few planned seasonal visits. Photos of the full planting areas and access give us a better starting point than a close-up of one weed.
Bed care can sit alongside lawn mowing and hedge trimming, but the services retain their own agreed inclusions. Commercial sites can also request bed maintenance within a wider grounds plan. Tell us about gate access, irrigation, sensitive features and disposal preferences, then we will review the address and prepare a practical scope.
JPPM serves all of west Edmonton and north Edmonton west of 97 Street. Northwest Edmonton is part of that service area. Send your full street address with the work you need so we can prepare a scope and confirm scheduling availability for the property.
For regular lawn mowing and snow shovelling, the property instructions and seasonal route plan keep service organised. Landscaping, hardscaping, deck and fence projects are assessed around access, preparation, materials and the intended result.
